What is Safeguard Floors?Safeguard Floors is a non-slip floor service. We install the best solutions to reduce slip and falls on any surface that can become wet.

What are the non-slip solutions?Our most effective non-slip solution is a treatment which creates a microscopic tread within the surface, thus raising the coefficient of friction when wet. This is not a sealant or etching, rather is applied then removed. Additional solutions include a cleaner and restorer which also provide slip resistance.

What is Dynamic Coefficient of Friction?Dynamic Coefficient of Friction, or DCOF, is the measurement of friction on a wet, level surface when walked upon. There are three recommended standards: The American National Standards Institute recommends a DCOF of 0.42. OSHA recommends a DCOF of 0.50. The ADA recommends a DCOF of 0.60. Safeguard Floors delivers a DCOF of 0.70+.

Are your solutions available for commercial and residential applications?Yes! Our solutions work on nearly all exterior and interior surfaces including porcelain and enamel bathtubs.

How long does the treatment last?We guarantee our treatment and the raised DCOF for 1 year, although it can last for several years which is all dependent on foot traffic.
